Costa Cruise Liner LUMINOSA Calls at Mormugao Port
Mormugao Port, on 1st April 2017, hosted Costa Cruise Liners, M.V COSTA LUMINOSA. This was the 32nd luxury cruise liner to arrive at Mormugao port during the current cruise tourism season.
The vessel on its West Asia tour arrived from the last port Cochin, to Mormugao port with 1810 high end guests from France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Spain, and Norway. The vessel had a complement of 888 crews. The shore travel arrangements, ground handling for excursions and sightseeing within State of Goa were undertaken by International Travel Bureau. The guests visited famous places like Old Goa, Panaji, Spice Garden, Churches, Temples, North and South Goa beaches.
M/s J M Baxi & Co., were the Shipping Agents for the cruise liner and were responsible for handling the logistics of the vessel in close liaison with the Port authorities. In view of safety measures and in order to reduce hardships for visiting high end guests, five shuttle buses were arranged to transfer them from disembarking point inside the dock to the port exit gate and back to board the A/C coaches for their onward sight-seeing trip in and around Goa.
The cruise liner sailed on the same day to its next destination, port of Mumbai.
