The business unit in charge of the development will manage the evaluation of new businesses and services, the opportunities related to the emerging uses of natural gas and the business development operations. The business unit in charge of Italian assets will coordinate the cross-sectional processes and ensure the coherence of transport, storage and regasification strategies, thus facilitating an integrated enhancement of businesses and technical know-how

. The business unit in charge of foreign operations will manage foreign assets and affiliates, with the aim of fostering an increased interconnection of European infrastructure and further contributing to the creation of a single energy market. The new organizational structure will be effective from November 2016, close to the listing of Italgas.
